Dude ... it’s your party. These were your peers. There have been shades of this ever since Newt was in Congress ... why are so many members of the GOP so surprised that the party is now a danger to the democracy?

Young moderate Republicans like myself are learning from you and will carry the mantle for the next generation. Thank you so much
@EvanMcMullin. Also, a follow back from you would mean the WORLD to me. Let’s save this nation

As a progressive Democrat, we need more people like you. We should embrace our differences and be able to discuss things civilly.

Honestly, America does not need the GOP at all. It is done. If more conservative people who are at least honest would like to reconstitute a new party, fine. But they would do well to face the realities of climate change, need for universal health care & retirement security etc.

Indeed, the Republican Party has been looting the nation for some time now. Trump is just the end result of a political agenda no longer concerned with the welfare of the American people.

The nation doesn’t need the Republican “party.” Any member thereof with a vestige of patriotism should look at an anti-authoritarian party platform that doesn’t play to racists and dominionists. Oops, there already is one.

I agree. And even if you won't admit it, you know that many of our NeverTrump brethren are way too willing to embrace and "forgive" Trump enablers, to the point of denying they ever were enabling Trump. The "new" post-Trump GOP will be the same as the old -- but re-branded.

We need to start fresh. Times have changed, issues and understanding have evolved. We need to redefine conservatism in a way that reflects this. We need a party that embraces change, human rights, integrity, and truth.
