The never Trumpers like yourself, whom I have a great deal of respect for, should not in anyway consider themselves "Republicans". That party has shown itself to be an enemy of democracy. You and the others need a new conservative party.

Thank you. Where we go or if the Republican Party can reform is a topic of much discussion within Trump’s conservative opposition. There are significant barriers to starting a national party. At least for now, most are committed to uniting with other Americans to replace Trump.

Polling regularly indicates that a minority of 7-20% of Republicans believe Trump should be impeached and/or removed from office. The 19% of Americans surveyed in ABC's recent poll believed what Trump did is wrong, but not worthy of removal. I'm interested in them.

But will they vote for down-ballot Republicans in 2020? Because if 45 wins re-election then the Cornyns and McConnells will continue to enable him. If you care about stopping Trump, you need to vote straight D. And if you do that, are you a Republican anymore?

Point taken, but what of the myriad Repubs who, during the 2016 campaign, opposed DJT for ignorance of our founding documents, incivility, and overall unfitness for office, then turned into the toadying sycophants we know and loathe today? How can we possibly explain them?

Fear. They are afraid.

At this point, the party is a cult devoted to Trump. And there's no going back. If there were any decent conservatives, they need to leave this party.
