I don't remember anyone on the right saying Obama was sent by God. Perhaps I just wasn't paying attention.
The notion that God chooses our political leaders is a perversion of conservatism, self-government and Christianity. We choose our leaders and we bear responsibility for those choices.

Monarchies of old used to claim Kings were chosen by God and that God works through them. America was the anti-monarchy in the beginning, and we should certainly stay that way presently, and in the future.
