Giuliani and Republican leadership messaging over the last couple of days signals that Trump and his allies are escalating their use of disinformation as a political tool, an authoritarian strategy to prevent the public from ascertaining truth and holding them accountable.

What does that mean...we need explicit ideas not abstract concepts. TIME GROWS SHORT.
Do the basics & mobilize others around you to do the same: vote, contribute to honorable candidates, call/write to your reps in Congress, meet them, write op-eds and letters to the editor, be active in pro-democracy orgs, reach across the aisle, spread truth on social media.

That’s a good strategy except for one thing. After grading my college students discussions on fake news many of who live in swing states - there is a theme that came through. They no longer trust the news, on both sides. They just don’t even listen anymore. That’s the challenge.

My Congressman and Senators are all Republicans and don't listen. They are all paralyzed by Trump. I think a small group of Republican Senators stepping forward would make a huge difference. Perhaps Sasse, Romney, Collins, Murkowski? I wish John McCain was still alive damn it!
