The point being:if he's not impeached this opens the door forever to have an imperial presidency. Foreign policy is open to the highest bidder. Kiss your freedoms bye bye. Is the public that ignorant of autocratic regimes and the whole reason the colonies had a revolution? JHC!
Some who have skeptically supported the president now acknowledge his wrongdoing on Ukraine, but argue that the consequences should be decided in the 2020 election. They miss the point. Trump’s abuses are intended to thwart that election and so we must hold him accountable now.

Because they only “acknowledge wrongdoing” rather than acknowledging corruption, a crime, abuse of power, and the danger he is to national security. If they were honest and acknowledged the latter they would see their duty for impeachment.
