Painful to watch — it calls into question the operating assumption I’ve always held (after living here) — there are good ppl and bad ppl on both sides of the aisle and/but the vast majority of ppl in DC love this country & when push comes to shove, they will do the right thing.
Congressional Republicans have completely lost their moral compass. They stand for nothing if not the defense of a man who clearly threatens the nation and their own power.

not this bunch. Their position seems to be manage the crisises until their guy can capably dismantle enough of our democratic institutions so that they can hold power, perpetually. There's no other tangible explanation for ignoring criminality and facts. None.

That is what I find so stunning: Republicans have completely lost their moral compass. They are doing the work of Putin/Russia in dividing this country & putting our democracy at risk. This is inexcusable. What they're doing is un-American & they're doing it deliberately.

At this point they are not doing this for Putin and Russia. The GOP and a Trump are Russia and Putin. They made it their own.
