Remember that aspiring tyrants like Trump often falsely claim to be anti-corruption crusaders. They do so to cultivate good governance narratives that conceal their own wrongdoing and to create political space for their more flagrant and dangerous corruption.

I'm going to lose it if he gets removed from office but pardons himself to entangle arrest, and proceeds to actually run for re-election against a President Pelosi on a campaign of 'she launched a coup to put herself in power'. It's going to come down to that isn't it
