House Republicans keep harping on the undisputed fact that “the president sets foreign policy” as though Trump’s attempted use of tax dollars as leverage to secure illegal foreign backing was merely policymaking. It’s like saying that the mob merely “does business.”

He is arguing that presidential power is without limits, and this is antithetical to the Constitution.

They do the same when they say "a President can recall an Ambassador at will."

The president is supposed to SERVE the USA, not use the power of the POTUS to serve himself. Isn't there something in the US Constitution about fulfilling his duties to the USA and the US Constitution? Trump does NOT serve the USA. Trump thinks the USA should serve him.pic.twitter.com/7io6G57uEE

Of course, the president has the authority. The question is whether he ABUSED that authority.

I’m sure that William Barr agrees with this mindless definition of Presidential privilege.

Thanks to an archaic, dysfunctional, undemocratic political/electoral system badly tainted by foreign/domestic corruption & disinformation, the USA is now ruled by the T-RUmp mob. Moscow Mitch, Wm Barr + T-RUmp's @GOP lackeys are verifying it.https://www.ngrippel.com/ngr-politics.html …
