The dominant narrative regarding Trump’s Ukraine scandal appears to be his “abuse of power for personal gain.” It’s certainly that, but it’s worse. It’s his pursuit of illegal foreign backing to influence the 2020 election outcome. That’s what this is about and we need to say so.
