Isn't it time to give up the idea that the GOP could or should be salvaged or redeemed? I mean, their main representatives are now Trump, Gym Jordan, and Moscow Mitch. Time to let that fantasy go.
For Trump, this has never been about the Republican Party or the country. It’s about him alone and he’ll continue to drive away voters that the GOP needs as long as it lets him. I still plan to vote Dem for 2-3 more election cycles to make sure the faction that is OK with all of this crap is rooted out. I wouldn't have expected Senator Collins to be fine with all of this, but she has done nothing to stop it. An occasional no vote doesn't count.
