Which goes to confirm what I've known for years. The Tea Party was nothing more than corporate sponsored astroturf and Republicans only care about 'fiscal responsibility' as a means to try and constrain their opponents.

I have always felt welcome when visiting the US , and I’ve grown to like the country. Thus it has been painful to see how fragile the rule of law is when a handfull of elected politicians choose to prop up a wannabe dictator, instead of holding up the Constitution.
