Senate & House Rs can still choose to repent; ask for forgiveness publicly (or just privately)...and since it is clear that Trump’s conduct must not be allowed, they can vote to impeach & remove him. Like the courageous Republicans did with Nixon, after months of foot-dragging.

They will not get forgiveness from me for just saying sorry & impeaching T. There r others in the T admin & GOP MOC who must pay the price for their crimes & destruction of democracy. The rest need simply to resign.

As a retired USAF SNCO, I don’t care how many years of honorable service any former military members had before serving in Congress. If they are allowing a domestic enemy to destroy our country, they have no honor and are traitors to the US Constitution.

Because GOP has been indoctrinated into thinking that the only way to show strength is through military abroad. They cherish courage abroad. But they cannot produce a shred of courage back here.

I am a family therapist--this reminds me of parents who are great at doing their professional jobs but are shitty parents. When home demands emotional courage, self awareness and solving deep issues. They can't do it.

Senators are prospective jurors so I have no problem with a “no comment” even if it’s a dodge to avoid the appearance of prejudice. I much prefer this response to Graham’s obsequious defenses.

Problem is the jury can’t but be “tainted” by all the info available. It would be better if the Republican senators who have qualms (& guts) voiced them and an actual impeachment/trial could be avoided as with Nixon, who had to resign when key GOP senators gave him the word.
