And not just any crime, but an attempt by Trump to cripple the American people’s ability to vote him out of office by again enlisting the help of a disinformation campaign by a foreign power. This is a direct, illegal attack on our elections and freedom. It MUST be impeachable.
If true, it's also an inappropriate use of government resources for a private purpose, made possible by the President's position in the government. The very definition of a "high crime," I think.
To accomplish his goal, Trump withheld military aid to Ukraine, overriding the will of Congress, putting Ukrainian lives at risk, forcing Zeleznyy to acquiesce to Russian demands for elections in occupied eastern Ukraine, and putting American security interests at risk.
And Trump continued to solicit foreign aid to his campaign, publicly suggesting China investigate the Bidens. There is no indication he will stop unless he is removed.
I wonder if it has ever occurred to trump supporters that one day they may really want a certain Republican out of office but can’t remove him due to tainted elections?
They will cherish their right to vote, after they see they no longer have one.
In addition to Federal election law, the Constitution explicitly mentions bribery as grounds for impeachment and removal from office. “You have to provide dirt on my political opponents before I release aid” might just count...

And directly after we spent two years litigating if he received help in his first election. When you frame this to include 2016 and Mueller it is unconscionable that Trump would feel this was appropriate.
One correction: the disinformation campaign is his own, not the foreign power’s.
