This Oregonian respectfully disagrees with @EvanMcMullin that Walden is honorable. It's not possible to be honorable unless you speak out strongly against the wholesale abuses of our system by Trump admin. Walden has been very quiet. Far from the worst, but not honorable.
Greg Walden's retirement is another blow to Republicans. I am going to amend this. Walden now has a huge opportunity to be honorable. It will take courage and he may lose some supporters over it, but the opportunity to speak out and do the right thing is now wide open to him. I hope he takes it.

Greg Walden was one of the Republicans leading the charge on gutting the ACA to take healthcare away from hard-working citizens. If that counts as "honorable" GOP standards, no wonder the Republicans have to cheat to win elections.

Why are all of these Republicans retiring instead of speaking out? I get that they won't win, but they should be spending every last second they have in office speaking out against this Corrupt President and his GOP Regime.

I agree with your point and maybe you already know this but if they do speak out it limits the lucrative job opportunities in the private sector.
