We used to ask the middle schoolers I worked with to either change or turn it inside out if they wore a shirt promoting alcohol or tobacco. It was pretty easy, airlines.

And they’ve asked women to change or leave flights for “not dressing appropriately”. How is this different?

People like these are amongst us; however, this is not only offensive but dangerous because the T-shirt is inciting violence. Frankly, I'd be afraid to sit next to him.

I wouldn't be afraid. I feel like we're in a setting where he's just advertising his jerk-ness, sending out his "us" vibes, but he is just like your neighbor who's car sports a sticker with a political slogan you don't like. As long as no-one confronts him, he'll just wear it.

Anyone who endorses/encourages murder should not be allowed on a plane. Would this guy have been removed from the plane wearing this t-shirt if he were any color other than white? Or if he wore a turban? Or hijab? I find it offensive & threatening & I'm white.
