Honestly, there is nothing worth renewing. The name and reputation of the Republican Party has been permanently stained and will be forever associated with the deplorable acts of Trump. Better that decent, former Repubs start a new party and wipe the slate clean.
It needs to be burned to the ground. There is nothing redeemable with that party any longer.
The only problem is that we know who they are now. It will take more than a leadership change.
