When white "christians" attached themselves to the GOP, when they began using abortion as manipulation, things began going sideways. They have used the anti-abortion platform as a means to ignore basic teachings of Christ to justify a deep-seeded racism and greed.

They are part of a cult of personality fueled by racism, patriarchy, theocracy, and militarism. It’s what they been groomed for by the Religious Right for 4+ decades.

It’s not a crisis in Evangelical Christianity it’s a crisis for all of Christian faith. We must not allow supposed Christian leaders who are lost and don’t recall Jesus’ true teachings to speak for us and continue to weaken a faith that should be the solution to many evils

I was taught growing up in the church that moral relativism was evil. Now we have a president who very being is antithetical to Christ and evangelicals are bending over backward to support him. Why did I waste my time with ”the Church”?

I say this as someone who has been between churches for couple of years, so I say this as much for myself, but broken as Christ bride is right now she is the only vessel God gave us. If the Church is sick we need to lead her back to The Great Physician.
