Sadly, we are dependent on a group of people who are not up to the task. Every time Trump hands them an easy victory, all they have to do is condemn his actions, they condemn his actions and then call him the devil, Hitler, and eat chicken. Enough. /1

Impeachment was meant for serious people on both sides in a serious time. Unfortunately both sides are under the impression that this is a circus. Like Rick Wilson has pushed, go ahead and have the investigations but don't call it Impeachment.

Impeachment would consume POTUS resources and torpedo any legislative agenda. However, a quick failure to convict in Senate would be seen as huge victory for Trump. It would also support arg that Dems were vindictive. I'm torn - I tend to say 'do it' because it's what is right.

The House should begin impeachment proceedings to make it a matter of Congressional record and make it harder for Trump to claim exoneration. Dems need to express the reality that the Republican Senate will continue to put party above country to protect their crooked president.
