The problem is his ego is tied to the Russian involvement in the 2016 election. If he admits they interfered then he is admitting he doesn't deserve the superlatives his laces himself with.

I think the call Trump got was from Roger Stone or the person the Trump administration that Stone reported to about the coming WikiLeaks dump of Hillary’s e-mails. Redacted because Stone’s case is still in progress. Trial in October.
