We need legislation, Evan. The honor system isn't working. We need some laws with real teeth that lock foreigners out of our election and campaign processes. No foreign influence, period.
If a foreign country can affect a presidential election outcome with the approval of the candidate it supports and neither have to worry about consequences, then we’ve lost control of our country. We can’t let that happen. Time to redouble our efforts to ensure that it doesn’t.

Citizens United came along and SCOTUS threw this out the window. That someone can donate to a PAC and get to be anonymous is absurd to democracy on its face.

You’re right, we have lost control of our country. Makes me want to move to Nova Scotia or some vineyard in Italy out in the middle of nowhere. I’m really starting to dislike it here. There’s no room for people like me. If I had the resources I would be gone already.

How? If Mueller is bound by 1978 regs to remain silent and not indict, can he speak if the legislature subpoenas him? How does the legislative branch get at the truth w/o investigating themselves in full? (Just not possible). I’m losing my faith. I keep waiting and hoping and believing that justice will come, but it doesn’t. Maybe justice is just a silly dream. Maybe our government is so corrupt that people like Trump can do whatever they want without accountability.
