They need to rally an override. It’s the least @SenSasse and @SenThomTillis could do.
We shouldn't discount the danger of the president's veto today. It's a terrible milestone. Only Congress has authority to fund federal activities to protect us from abuses of executive power. Congressional Republicans must uphold the Constitution or be complicit in its violation.

Yeah...I don't think enough is being made of what is happening & the precedent in having a President who goes around Congress ALL THE TIME & the partisan politics allows it.

Please stop pretending that Republicans will do the right thing. They won't. The party is dead. There is still an opportunity for fiscally conservative classic liberals on both sides to form a party that actually wants what's best for society.

So much for Article I Section I of the constitution. “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” It was a nice Republic while it lasted.
