Can someone explain his intended meaning here because I'm at a loss for what he's saying except that 'people who call themselves socialists are socialists'

Evan, as a Democrat, I appreciate you speaking out on this. I find the rhetoric, backers of this group to be more than highly suspicious. Playing both sides, Russia has been working overtime to create civic divisions in #USA. What happened in 2016 has not stopped> accelerated.

True, but a healthy balance of capitalism and socialism is what America already is. Most of the complaints are of the capitalist parts. I enjoy earning my living and outperforming others, but I also don't want people dying for me to have an extra car or house. Balance.

For the record, I really appreciate your voice on so many issues of national importance. There aren't enough conservatives like you. Thank you for standing on principle, even when I disagree with them.

"Corporations are people" + tax breaks for richest corporations + bailouts for dying industries/companies + tax breaks for rich + red states taking most federal dollars + deregulation galore ... GOP loves socialism. Just not for regular people; especially not people of color.

Oh....and lets not forget the military. Military contracts are a veritable corporate welfare system. While simultaneously, not funding nearly enough to take care of veterans / VA.
