"Socialist trends." You mean like public school? The fire department? Mass transit and roads? Would you rather "free enterprise" take care of those for you? Nothing like $15 to drive on 5 miles of private freeway. Stop buying into the language of GOP disinformation, Evan.
Democratic candidates refusing to reaffirm the importance of free enterprise in the face of socialist trends repeat the disservice of Republican leaders who refuse to sustain Western democracy in response to authoritarianism. Improving our systems is wise, abandoning them folly.

"Free enterprise" in the US over the last 30 years has resulted in social inequality much worse than a move towards more safety nets (i.e, some of what has been proposed) could ever be. Using the term "Socialism" without defining it is ignorant at best.

If Evan isn’t specifically offering how Capitalism rescues us from the Student Debt Crisis, the Medical Care Cost Crisis or the Living Wage Crisis I don’t really want to hear him pontificate on Socialism at all.
