If he had truly been checked by Congress, he’d already be gone. Instead, he’s still attacking our democracy daily. How can you possibly say that?

Yes Congress has fallen short of its oversight duties due to Republican partisanship, but Congress has still been a check, thus Trump’s national emergency today. You wanna see an unchecked president? Watch Trump abuse emergency powers if Congress is now silent and SCOTUS subdued.

I’m not sure “mostly been checked” is correct. He was not checked at all until the New Democratic house took over.

He just created a crisis within exec branch as Commander in Chief. What does military do now after he says, "I order you to use this money in a way it wasn't appropriated for?" Generals either stand up and salute and do it, possibly breaking law, or say, NO, ILLEGAL ORDER!

Exactly what checking of Trump have the Republicans in Congress done, Evan? I'll wait.

He has NOT mostly been checked by Congress. Resist the temptation to sugar coat the truth just to try and save some GOP seats that deserve to be lost after this.

He's not been "mostly checked." The Republicans "mostly" rolled over and sold out, putting politics above country. Show me Senatorial pushback or a substantive primary fight for the 2020 primary and I'll retract.
