Our founders anticipated executive over-reach and built in substantial checks and balances. POTUS's behavior is bad; McConnell's is worse, since he is abdicating this very important responsibility.
When leaders invent emergencies, they do so to bypass the very limits on their power that ensure our freedom. This fake emergency is something we must all oppose no matter our party affiliation. If we don't stop it now, it'll pave the way for even more dangerous abuses later.

Emergencies require immediate attention. Trump’s been talking about this ‘emergency’ for two years+. Not much of an emergency if he can blabber about it for two yrs, and only declare an ‘emergency’ when he doesn’t get his way through normal procedures.

And it wasn’t even mentioned during the two years he had the house and the senate. They were too busy giving themselves massive tax breaks. That revenue could have paid for the stupid wall.
