Let's not dumb down the complex issues of immigration and border security to "a wall" just because Trump does it. No one in Congress is opposed to funding border security. The debate is over the total annual amount and how to prioritize various approaches.

The real danger is giving in on the wall and teaching trump he can throw a tantrum and get his way any time he threatens govt workers.

I thought the .
@GOP was fiscally conservative. This wall is the biggest pork barrel ever. It does not solve immigration policy. They are abandoning their core value for Trump's ego. Really?#Prayingfortheworkerspic.twitter.com/Jd4m4Ca9uY

Listen folks, it's no longer the year 2000. We've already built hundreds of miles of fencing and the number of illegal crossings has dropped from abc 200k to 40k. Illegal immigrants are now, by far, visa stay-overs (they fly in and simply stay). A wall is a waste of money.

He doesn't really care about the wall. At this point it's not about the wall - it's just about him "winning" and Dems "losing."

It was always about shutting government, not about comprise for a barrier, wall, fence, see thru slats, or anything else. Frump just wants to have his 28% base to cheer him on.

His wall has always been about bigotry and racism. His administration has always been about personal profit.
