The evolution goes like this. No collusion. Ok there was, but Trump didn’t know. Ok trump knew. Ok Trump colluded but it’s not a crime.
A predictable development in Trump's likely doomed conspiracy defense tonight: his attorney acknowledges that there may have been campaign collusion with the Russians, but Trump didn't know. The problem for Trump is that when he turns on his associates, they tend to turn on him.

If his campaign colluded, then Trump colluded. Nixon didn’t break into Watergate,but he sure as hell orchestrated the coverup. Same thing Trump has been doing all along.

TEveryone who has ever worked for Trump has described him as a control freak and a micromanager.
