Right-wing populists demonize minorities. Left-wing populists demonize the wealthy. Neither offer real solutions for the American people.

We are all Americans and it’s time we started treating each other as such.

Missed the mark here, Evan. The right demonizes minorities out of rank racism & bigotry. The left calls out political abuses of the super wealthy and wants them to pay their fare share. What is “fair” may be debatable. But no one on the left is calling for caging wealthy babies

asking the wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes so that money is more evenly distributed and social programs can be properly funded directly helps the american people. you actually get paid to talk about this stuff, huh?

Racism and economic justice are both bad, and equally so. I am very smart.

Ex-CIA spy turned presidential candidate makes a ludicrous false equivalence between the far-right and the actual left, pretending like racist xenophobic scapegoating is the same as class struggle against the billionaire oligarchs who control our liveshttps://twitter.com/Evan_McMullin/status/1081599425422807042?s=19 …

I am a fan but this is false equivalence. People of good faith can discuss the top marginal tax rate and its effect on income inequality without demonization. Demonization and division are the whole point of Trumpism.

I’m sorry, this is one we disagree on. Saying that it’s insane for individuals to have billions of dollars when other people can’t afford to live, and that the wealthy should pay their fair share of tax is not *demonizing* them. It’s not the same thing at all.
