Basically the Trump Base is shutting down the government so Trump can us them to keep himself from being impeached?
A government shutdown over wall funding doesn’t serve the national interest, but Trump has just one goal as he and his family face mounting legal risk: maintain most Republicans’ support so that the Senate won’t remove him and he can keeping using his office to avoid prosecution.
