The electoral college, when used as the founders intended, is brilliant. The problem is we don't use it the way it was intended. Several years ago a national high school debate league spent a year debating federal election reform. /1

Electoral reform is essential for our country’s continued success. 2016 is warning of things to come. The 2 major parties have been pulled to extremes & are increasingly vulnerable to corruption. We need more competition at the ballot box & less partisan gridlock in Washington.
