The Weekly Standard was, at its best, a principled conservative outlet. More often it just was a partisan rag and harbinger of the anti-objective-reality dumpster fire of the 2018 GOP. The blind partisanism it couldn't resist fomenting has killed it. It found its soul too late.

While I often disagreed with them I often read their articles to try to understand their views so I could focus on how to counteract them. Not like Breitbart who were based on all spin from an alternate reality somewhere.
