Yes! This is our way out of the 2 party mess that is no longer functional. We need more competition at the ballot box, and less tribalism in Washington. Ranked choice voting can give us both.
Ranked-choice voting upheld in Maine! This is a win for voters and constitutional validation of an important reform that improves and strengthens our democracy. I hope to see it adopted in other states across the country soon.

Ranked choice did precisely what it was designed to do here in Maine. The candidate who won campaigned to appeal to more than just the partisan base.

@rdulee, actually ranked-choice voting could provide an alternative to creating another party, a desired but awfully big endeavor? OMG YAY! From Maine and I’m so happy this held up. RCV (basically an instant run-off) is the best thing! Hope everyone works in their states to get it on their ballots!
