I am revisiting this. The only point I disagree with is the idea that we can work with those who support Trump's policies. No. Because Trump is such a raging narcissist, agreeing/disagreeing with him is always a zero-sum game. And if he does pose an existential threat...

...then propping him up in any sense makes someone complicit. Any thing he might be right about can be accomplished by a better person who dors not possible such a threat. Trump cannot be granted any quarter---period.
