Increasingly, I hear Democrats say that they must “fight fire with fire” and abandon norms and decency like Republican leaders in order to win, but this “eye for an eye” mentality will only do more damage. Uniting Americans on the high road offers a much greater field of fire.

Hi. I appreciate that you left the vile, racist, misogynist GOP. It is still untoward for you to project your values onto Democrats and progressives. We still want different things for this broken country than you do, and inserting yourself into this diminishes our path forward

I'm also an Independent. Dems must be ruthless without becoming like
#GOPCorruption. Sen Murray recently said Dems shouldn't change the filibuster because if the GOP regained power they'd just lower it again. Republicans have wanted a One-Party State, not democracy. They must go. -
“Ruthless without becoming corrupt” is an oxymoron. Ruthless means uncaring. Ruthless doesn’t care about anything but winning. Ruthless doesn’t care about the rules or the Rights of people. Ruthless suppresses votes. Ruthless jails dissidence. Ruthless tramples opposition.
