This question is obviously rhetorical, but I’ll answer it. It’s clear that one group of citizens is considered to be more worthy than another group, w/ lines drawn by gender, power & class.

I’m not even touching on race bc that’s another hurdle that victims & alleged perps don’t face here, but did in the Anita Hill scandal.

the same message women (esp survivors) have been hearing for centuries: we are second-class citizens and our trauma does not matter.
-
Exactly. Maybe now that men (centuries later) are FINALLY seeing this, the truly courageous & decent ones will help us dismantle the patriarchal system that has lifted them up by keeping us down.

Let’s remember we heard the Victim in a setting where a prosecutor was grilling Her but that same prosecutor was ditched the second Kavanaugh’s drinking came up
-
GOP senators didn't want the prosecutor to question Kav after he admitted to drinking as a teen. Drunken teen parties lead to what Ford said happened. It's key.

The "Democratic Party" (such as it is) needs to tell Senate Republicans that if they plow through American traditions of decency and confirm Kavanaugh, it will be official Dem position to impeach him. Best to get this done right, and now. Or he won't survivepic.twitter.com/0IMC4RC1vP

I share your anger, but it makes no sense to make threats that can't be accomplished. The Dems need to win elections now and in 2020, state and federal, to control redistricting. We can't take our eyes off the importance of winning elections, to fight battles already lost.
