You *do* know this has nothing to do with being "...up to the job," don't you? It's just about optics, nothing more.They assume that a female attorney ('inquisitor?') harshly interrogating Dr. Ford will be more palatable to the public than a bunch of biased misogynistic men.
Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans should question Ford and Kavanaugh themselves instead of relying on staff or outside counsel. It’s their job and they ought to be able to do it respectfully and effectively. If not, one is left to wonder if they’re up to the job at all.

Unfortunately, McConnel recently said in reference to Kavanaugh's confirmation, "We're going to plow right through it", which leaves no doubt that GOP Senators already made up their minds no matter what Dr. Ford says. It is extremely unfair to her and the American people.
