This article is so naive and off target it makes my brain ache. 1) Conservatism is by its extremist nature prone to corruption and a hatred of democratic process. 2) Dems are not imitating Trump and his sycophantic GOP; they are instead offering a sane center-left alternative.

His opposition can avoid corruption by calling for his resignation. Plenty of democrats have done this, but none in the GOP. Makes the GOP “opposition” look complicit.
