#GOPCrimeSyndicate It is a self serving criminal enterprise. And right now, it’s all out in the open. A third of the country doesn’t give a shit and another third won’t vote and participate in our democracy.
Kavanaugh is the type of judge most Republicans prefer, but his nomination by a president elected with foreign help and GOP leaders' refusal to consider Garland now inspires some Democrats to call for stacking the court, a cycle which threatens to politicize the institution.

What is the alternative to increasing the number of justices? Passive acceptance of a stolen, partisan Supreme Court likely to eviscerate campaign finance laws, reproductive health care, gun control, unionization, environmental regulation, other regulation of corporate abuses?

Exactly. Dems wouldn't choose to do it this way, but as the majority, which we are, we must exercise our power or it'll be taken and we will be lorded over. So yes, we will stack the court. Fix what the GOP has broken

The GOP refusal to even hold hearings or provide an up/down vote on Garland - a middle-of-the-road choice to avoid partisanship - was hyper-partisan. McConnell/GOP ignored both the letter and spirit of the Constitution's process for SCOTUS. An inaction that will live in infamy.
