Germany has worked hard to repay its debt to society. They teach what terrible things Germany has done. They don't water down history like the US does all the times

When I was a kid my grandpa talked to me about WW2 and the Marshal Plan and what we did to help Japan and Europe after the war. About that Piaggio factory that made plane engines and now makes scooters, I own Vespa cuz of that.

Excellent thread. Appreciate the clarity and reasonable perspectives. When viewed over the past 70 years, the conclusion is undeniable. How did supporting liberal democracy become a bad thing? By ignoring our own history.

Let's be real for a minute. The U.S. took 5yrs to get involved in WW2 while the rest of the world was battling Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin & only because of the attack on Pearl Harbor. If that did not happen there is no way the U.S. would have involved itself in that war.

My German war bride sis in law told me she cried hearing the planes flying in life saving food, coal and supplies during the Berlin air lift. “ last year we were trying to kill you but then America saved our lives”
