I find it impossible to understand the aggressive defense of the unborn, but yet the neglect of the just-born. Whether it is immigration policy, health policy, or even education policy, there is a loss of interest/compassion that seems to occur as the fetus emerges from the womb,

Evan—you know better than this. Christ-like charity does not require the government forcing people to give. As Christians, we all have a personal duty, but our duty does not encompass forcing others to give.
