    "I'm too comfortable at Google" -- as crazy as it sounds is actually a real problem. I have friends at Goog who fell in the same pattern: get bored, take up a lot of hobbies, then wallow in depression. Not a good way to thru life. Challenge yourself.

    To form an opinion I would need to know what our decision makers knew about Soleimani’s plans, why Iraq was chosen as the venue, what the follow up strategy is, etc... and I know none of that. So I don’t think it is possible to have an informed opinion here as an ordinary person.

    Yes, it was an assassination. Iraq's government had not authorized the US to fight Iranian state actors within their territory. They are now protesting the violation of their sovereignty. Congress had never authorized such hostilities with Iran. Illegal in every respect.
