In new poll, top party w/18-24 year olds is GreenLeft (14%). PVV at 11%. DENK does well at 7%, presumably mostly muslim youth #Netherlandspic.twitter.com/UDHh86bXzt
Do you know of polls about main issues/concerns of Dutch citizens?
de Hond asked respondents last month to rank topics. Health care was top issue, welfare/terrorism followed https://www.noties.nl/v/get.php?a=peil.nl&s=weekpoll&f=2017-02-05b.pdf …pic.twitter.com/O1jPpgFHVp
He also asked them to rank policy props (diff week). Top: tax relief, employment; healthcare, education https://www.noties.nl/v/get.php?a=peil.nl&s=weekpoll&f=2017-02-19c.pdf …pic.twitter.com/q4n1fIAxIc
%s would have been more useful than rankings though...
Fascinating stats from @EuropeElects (I&O Research poll) shows remarkable jump in #Wilders support among young people over a decadepic.twitter.com/s9altqz2TJ
.@arqueoleg com et deia l'altre dia sobre els Groenlinks que ni tan bien...allà amb l'SP! I la joventut pinta fotuda
Also worthy of note: 47% preferred left-wing parties in 2007. Only 20% in 2016. The left is dying.
And that is very good news. ;-)
Are voting patterns in NL similar to those in UK? Older age groups a more reliable voting bloc turnout-wise?
Definately. PVV also has a recent history of underperforming polls due to low turnout.
@mattsteinglass Is this up to date? Groen Links only 7?
@CasMudde This poll was conducted 16-19 December: http://www.ioresearch.nl/Portals/0/I%26O%20Research%20politieke%20peiling%20december%202016.pdf …
It actually found GreenLeft doing better w/ 65+ than 18-24 year olds, which seems.. odd.
