My dad’s name is Eugene. He was named after his dad who was named after a character in a Hungarian romance novel.

Granddaughter of a Hungarian Eugene here - he worked in the Army Air Corps in WWII and then in the NYPD and FDNY before becoming a math teacher. Eugenes rule! :)
