Not one Democrat/progressive/journo screaming about "revenge porn" right now said a word about the subject when the victim was Joe Barton. That tells you all you need to know about the sincerity of the argument.

Pardon my hyperbole, obviously "revenge porn" was brought up with Barton as well. But the disparate amount of discussions (google it! it's 300K versus 7.8 MILLION in Hill's far more insidious case) is impossible to ignore.

Oh, I think the revenge porn is a legit thing, but it has no bearing on the House rules.

Revenge porn definitely seems like a thing, but also definitely doesn't seem to apply here. I'm not really concerned by the vector of knowledge: I dont want someone with an Iron Cross tattoo in congress.
-
Why doesn't it apply here?

Unless you can prove Katie herself posted the photos, it’s not a smoke screen. She’s been violated.
-
The goat pic etc. were deliberately posed and shared as part of a voyeur/exhibitionist/swinger thing on a reddit account. Some of the other pictures were likely shared without consent and the leaker should be prosecuted but it doesn’t negate the violation of house rules.
