FOR THE RECORD: Square-Enix explicitly referred to this as a brand-new IP and people that worked on it explicitly refer to it as a new universe. It is likely asset reuse like so many (so many) of you pointed out. Those arches are iconic to FFXV though, which is just... weird.
oh hell yeah
Makes a ton of sense considering it’s Square
Except the email sent out by SE says it’s a new IPpic.twitter.com/j1JjkZ2hm4
Can it be in the same setting, but in different IP?
But it's prolly just asset reuse or smthng
Anything goes with SE’s Japanese games. But @garywhitta also described it as a “new” universe, so who knows?
I don't know how to tell you this...
Probably just a reused asset or one of the same designers worked on both (and really likes archways).
God yes give me FFXV-2. Only question is why not just call it what it is? What do they gain from not giving it some FFXV branding at this point?
SE has this weird hate-boner for XV despite it selling really well. They barely advertise it, and there's almost no merch which is quite unusual for a mainstream Japanese game.
