So... I'll start out with @pengshepherd. We don't know each other at all, but she gave me such a fantastic blurb. Nobody has any reason to blub a book these days (particularly not from a writer like me, and a 2nd book no less) other than having a generous spirit.

Years ago my 1st book was released by a micropress; I wanted cover blurbs. I was too green to know any better so I randomly emailed a small handful of my fave writers. 3 said yes & gave me the most fantastic blurbs. 1 went the xtra mile w/ great publicity on The Millions.

Barbara Seranella took me under her wing at Left Coast Crime and introduced me to the mystery buyers for Amazon (very small company then) and Borders. She had no reason to be so generous.
-
Heck yeah, Barbara Seranella!!! It's so wonderful when you feel taken under someone's wing. (Now pardon me while I get sniffly about Borders.)

@heydonnelly intro’d me to@mtaeckens, who helped me get an ARC to the equally generous@lsjamison, who blurbed my book AND gave it a shout-out in Guernica even though she’d had a baby like five minutes ago. An entire conga line of generosity to a debut author.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Stephen King. One tweet by him literally changed my life.

Oooh, I've heard tales of the mighty King bump! It's so great to see the real impact. Love it!

Um, YOU! You were so kind to me and gave me all the best insights into being a debut and wrote the worlds most beautiful letter on the eve of my 1st book coming out and have been the most supportive writer friend

That would
@louisethebaker who has the kindest heart. She read my ms and wrote the most amazing blurb. Just thinking about this makes me all teary-eyed. I will definitely pass on her kindness to a newbie author who asks for a blurb or other help! Kindness matters, all the time! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
