Just for the record. If you are trying to ruin my career or my reputation, you are going to fail. If you are trying to get me to quit YouTube or to drop out of anything I don't want to drop out of, you are going to fail. Nobody tells me what to do but me.

Would be interesting if YouTube decides to actually enforce its policies on targeted harassment... and community strike the channels going after you... Maybe they should get smart before someone decides to do something about them... would be really interesting...

For fucks sake when’s it going to happen? Like when is YouTube going to ACTUALLY do something about videos attacking other creators?
@TeamYouTube seriously. Enforce your policies.2 replies 0 retweets 7 likes -

There is some material I’m putting together about VPN to help with issues like Swatting specifically.

Appreciate that. We and other creators in the community have tried our best to educate our audience about it, but not all people using YT are tech savvy enough for VPN. There is a bigger problem there that
@TeamYouTube should be addressing!1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Ideally they would incorporate VPN into any and all livestreams on the backend to protect users. It's something I'll bring up if I'm at HQ this year or pass along.

Incorporating VPN is a good idea and definitely would get some protection for people and is the beginning of getting rid of the bigger problem! Appreciate all this, Roberto!

VPN will help. Typically the ISP's advertise a generic address, unlikely someone can tie my IP to the Mitten Dad's house. Majority of the swatting is from everyone's PII being all over the Internet vs an IP address.

Especially in US, unfortunately, it is very easy to find personal information about people. Anything will help at this point.

Download Maltego, drop a name or email in there, you'll be shocked on what the web brings up and maps people too. https://www.paterva.com/web7/
