Guy next to me at the salon is getting a haircut for a first date. So sweet to hear his excitement and that he has the whole night planned out. Godspeed, young man!
is advertising them as "overdose prevention sites" or "wellness hubs." pure marketing fluff. ODs aren't prevented - at best they're reversed. and people don't get healthy in them.
I just offered to write stories/a column for SFGate. candid, unflinching truth about San Francisco. though it would anger some, would readers want it? of course. let's talk,
WTF? “The consensus among younger journalists is that we got it all wrong,” Emilio Garcia-Ruiz, editor in chief of the San Francisco Chronicle, told us. “Objectivity has got to go.” https://washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/01/30/newsrooms-news-reporting-objectivity-diversity/…
Nothing like having your PUBLIC HEALTH department @SF_DPH talk about "sleuthing" with @HealthRIGHT360 for spots to open a drug use spot.
ZERO TRANSPARENCY
QUESTION: if SF's citizens who voluntarily help people suffering on the streets are twitter famous, should city/nonprofit employees who are paid to help but aren't be as well known?
This Gentleman OD a few nights ago and @RawRicci415 captured him in his Video walking thru a Encampment with I know him and showed him the video let’s hear how he’s feeling about seeing himself @Twolfrecovery@GabeFerreiraD3@bettersoma@SteveAdami
we have so many amazing heroes & heroines in San Francisco. from privilege & prison, they're not just helping people on the street, they're fighting the power. they're winning the hearts & souls of the people. they are a threat to the system.
Last nights walk home was ominous i’ve became numb to the death around me,another reminder that we can’t Narcan our way out of this problem but even if we could I can guarantee most addicts wont use this illegal“safe”consumption site just another waste of #SanFrancisco resources
Gin martini at a deeply sophisticated place packed with gorgeous, beautifully dressed people. Where am I? If you guess correctly I’ll donate $25 to your favorite charity! (The first person that is!)
Update I did a video 10/22 an 10/24 Trevor was kicked out of Larkin Youth he’s 26 yr old previous interview he spoke about his OD on Fentanyl now he is speaking about using the new drug ISO He says he’s ready Monday to quit drugs and start treatment @Twolfrecovery@GabeFerreiraD3
Clearly I need to conduct a tour of the real San Francisco. we will start at the worst and end up at the best. no I'm not kidding. DM me if you're interested.
’s recall (& recall of worse replacements) hasn’t been picked up is because we’re behind on signature goal at 3,127. We must prove demand with 10,000+ signatures. Please #retweet/sign! +
I do not believe it is too dramatic to say that today's governments, journalists, and community leaders are turning a blind eye to the horrors unfolding on our streets.
what makes an activist? Harry Klein, a Hungarian Jew, was my grandfather. family line (and 400K others) murdered at end of WWII. historians now wonder if "governments, journalists, and community leaders should have done more to publicize and disrupt it."
OK, can anyone help a nice young man out with a job? lives in the Tenderloin and is trying to make rent. anything from heavy lifting to restaurant work. need ASAP, so DM me for details.
so when you hear/read anything from these people, ask yourself why. what's in it for them? and girl, it's the money - almost every time. could be funding, could be a job. but its always the money. they sell your loved ones down the line. we see you,
A week from today!

drug use sites are profoundly classist. the wealthy can afford recovery to escape the slavery of addiction. The poor get places to maintain the bonds of addiction. these sites are promoted by people who claim to be progressives.
thank you all! I have many of these scandals already in the piece & will add more. the story is about what makes SF globally fascinating. the EIC of a London-based media outlet told me, "we have an insatiable hunger for San Francisco." not all cities are like this.
