With Omicron, even the rates of vaccination and boosters in SF (a US model city) aren't high enough

I more mean as a way of thinking about what’s driving these trend lines. SF is much more vaccinated than many of the countries that look more decoupled to me. Which makes me wonder if we’re missing something on hospitalization drivers here?

But there are certainly other factors that may be in play
Some of it could be as simple as that we don't count Covid hospitalizations correctly or consistently from city/city, state/state, country/country. 2 years into it, we are finally making an effort to get it right. Deaths should similarly be standardized. #WithorFrom
