BTW the hospital readmission rate was 15% which is even higher than the recent @CDCgov @CDCMMWR report of 9% within 2 months https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6945e2.htm?s_cid=mm6945e2_w …pic.twitter.com/L3ZmV5yqXZ

Exactly. There’s a vast chasm of suffering in between “recovered” and “died”

This is also, potentially, a chronic disease, with long lasting damage to a variety of organs/systems. We don’t understand enough about the sustained effects in what is not a small number of infected.

Full taxpayer-funded Universal Public Healthcare will solve the 50% cases of emotional issues related to hospital bills and financial difficulties. I and my family have never, ever, got any medical or hospital bills from our excellent public healthcare system. Peace of mind.

Of 488 surveyed 60 days after hospital discharge: "179 patients reported at least a mild financial impact from their hospitalization, with 47 reporting use of most or all of their savings and 35 rationing food, heat, housing, or medications due to cost."
